Happy New Year...

To understand this picture, you really need to hear Kamelot's "Midnight, Twelve Tolls for a New Day". It's a track that's a segueway between songs, and in it, you hear someone trudging through the snow for what seems like forever, then stopping and you hear someone go "Happy New Year"

I listen to that album (The Black Halo, an album you should all go buy RIGHT NOW) a lot, and I always imagine it's Scott, trudging through the snow, coming up behind red, and surprising her with a gift. So I drew it.

Lot of thought went into this picture. The expressions, the tone, the mood, the colors, everything. It's why I'm discouraging critique, because it is far too special to me to be picked apart.

I'd like to form a story around that whole album, and if I'm not careful, I might very well draw EVERY single song on it. 2 down, 12 more to go I guess.

And as for what Scott is giving her. It may or may not be what you think it is. :D

before I read the description I instantly thought "it must be a ring!", I mean...the expressions just....wow. :3 I looove this picture, it's one of your best. the emotion is justso...real. :heart: and now I must go dl that cd 'cuz now I'm curious. .___.

I just HAD to fav this one :) The over-all feeling this gave me is the same kind of feeling I have for two story characters of mine and this piece just reminded me of those two ;)

And I had to admit too, before I read the description, I thought "it's a ring! I betcha it's a ring!" XD

Oh Wow....I can definetly see that you poured alot of heart and soul into this one. I haven't seen those two together in a tender moment in forever! Very heartfelt, Kel, I'm lovin it!
